EACH GRADE HAs IT'S OWN NIGHT TO ENJOY ART.

 CHECK OUT THE PICTURES BELOW TO SEE WHAT EACH GRADE DID last year . 

 the tentative dates for this year's fun nights are:

first grade NOVEMBER 13
second grade NOVEMBER 19
THIRD GRADE JANUARY 14
FOURTH GRADE   AND   FIFTH GRADE  APRIL 23

IT TAKES ABOUT FIVE PARENT VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH EACH FUN NIGHT. I NEED HELP HANGING ARTWORK, TAKING IT DOWN, SETTING UP FOR THE CRAFT PROJECT AND CLEANING UP AFTERWARDS. IT'S NOT A BIG COMMITMENT OF TIME, BUT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. IF YOU CAN HELP OUT WITH ANY OF THE EVENINGS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

the first fun night this year was first grade. the first graders, and their parents, learned how to do fold and dye. you can see from the pictures below how much fun they had.

 

  

 

the second grade fun night was equally successful.

families had the choice of making five different kinds of puppets: felt puppets, paper bag puppets, popsicle stick puppets, and sock puppets.

THE PUPPETS THIS YEAR WERE INCREDIBLY CREATIVE!!!!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE WONDERFUL PARENTS, AND CHILDREN THAT HELPED TO MAKE THE EVENING A GREAT SUCCESS: CYNTHIA BOGNAR, MATT BEEMSTERBOER, FRANK BAKER,  DAVE REDDING, , AND MEE-LING CHIN. I COULLDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!!!!
     

third grade family fun night was an overwhelming success! 

we made welcome mats from rug samples donated by rusmer carpet company.

the fourth / fifth grade family fun night 

was terrific!!!!!!
